I tell all my clients that we can take beautiful boudoir photographs at any location, and that’s certainly true, but a great location can make my job easier and your photos better. The best locations are spacious, well decorated, free of clutter, and have an abundance of natural light. For many people, their home is the best option because it has special meaning to them and it’s where they feel most comfortable. However, there are many fantastic locations around the St. Louis area for those who prefer not to have their session at home.

The Fleur-de-lys Mansion ~ luxury inn at the park
The grandeur of a 19th century mansion in one of St. Louis’ grand historic districts. Rated the #5 bed and breakfast in the United States – and #7 in the WORLD by Tripadvisor.com users. Four guest rooms available, spa room, and backyard garden…why not make a weekend out of it and bring your sweetheart to the room after your boudoir session is finished?

The Beall Mansion ~ an elegant bed and breakfast
Voted “Illinois’ Best Bed & Breakfast” by the Illinois Magazine, The Beall Mansion is located near the St. Louis area in Alton, Illinois. The Beall Mansion offers 5 guest suites, several of which feature fireplaces, claw-foot tubs, and antique furniture. I could easily see any of these rooms as the perfect setting for a vintage-inspired boudoir session! As a technical side-note, the big windows in these rooms make for EXCELLENT naturally-lit images and without a doubt will work wonderfully for your session!

Raines Victorian Inn ~ Queen Anne style bed and breakfast inn
Built in 1904 and located just minutes from historic Main Street in St. Charles, MO. I love the decor and elegance of this vintage-styled bed and breakfast. This inn boasts 3 beautiful suites (each with a private sitting room or sitting area), whirlpool tubs, a beautiful garden, and easy access to Main Street! St. Charles is one of my husband and I’s favorite places; I encourage you to take some time after your session to get acquainted with this wonderful historic town. Why not do as one of my previous brides did? Surprise your man with a weekend getaway, and later present him with a custom album of the boudoir session you had in your suite before he arrived!
